Axle load scale – weighing up profit.

No one can do everything: a leading provider of measurement and sensor technology, a specialist in delicate work, needed help for bigger tasks. The company wanted to enter the lucrative market in axle load scales, and commissioned prolim to construct a suitable steel structure.

Working with a team of civil engineering specialists, prolim designed a robust concrete sub-structure that conveyed the expected forces directly into the ground, along with a rigid steel frame with anchorages, set in concrete and mounted on the actual measuring device.

prolim also developed a concept for pre-calibration of the measuring equipment at the supplier. This enabled the local assembly teams in Albania, Mexico and Vietnam to install the machine quickly and precisely, in compliance with stringent quality standards.

With prolim, the company had a flexible partner with which to implement various heavy steel construction tasks and build a reliable supplier network. Thanks to the collaboration, further products were developed for a lucrative market and delivered on time.
