Blue-chip production line.

A manufacturer of machinery for tape and narrow textiles had the idea of fitting clothing labels with RFID chips. These would facilitate quality management during the production process and inventory management during the sales process, and could also serve as an anti-theft device.

No easy task: A metal thread – the antenna for the chips – has to be woven into the bands of fabric from which the labels are cut. The chips must be placed very precisely on the strip and connected to the antenna.

prolim has been working with this textile manufacturer on implementation of this visionary idea for a number of years. In collaboration with a team of specialists, a marketable machine was constructed that separates and positions the RFID chips precisely on the labels.

Thanks to prolim’s support, this customer has been able to respond to a new market requirement. Great interest has been shown in the new RFID labels and demand is rising steadily. This textile machine manufacturer can now look forward to a prosperous future.
